Brayden Pogson

Brayden Pogson is an Oklahoma-based theatrical designer and technician, currently studying Theatrical Design and Technology at the University of Central Oklahoma.

Notable Work:

Six Flags’ Frontier City: Brayden served as the Technical Director for 5 years, overseeing lighting and sound for the Gunfighter stunt show (the longest-running U.S. stunt show). He also handles QLab programming for show control, audio engineering, and illusion repairs for the magic show. Brayden ensures smooth operation for 8 shows daily and trains new technicians to maintain high standards.

Carpenter Square Theatre: As the resident lighting designer and QLab support, Brayden maintains the lighting shop, performs regular repairs, updates lighting plots, and designs lighting for 6 annual shows. He also supports sound teams with QLab programming for seamless technical rehearsals.

University of Central Oklahoma: Brayden works in UCO’s light, sound, and scenic shop, managing lighting, sound plots, and scenic construction numerous shows an academic year. Brayden has also stage-managed two UCO productions (Orfeo Ed Euridice, directed by Dr. Rob Glaubitz, 2023 and A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Collin Andrulonis, 2024), focusing on smooth technical rehearsals and acting as a liaison between directors and the technical team. The production of Orfeo Ed Euridice placed 3rd in the National Opera Association’s Opera Competition for 2024.

Silent Sky (2025)

Silent Sky tells the true story of Henrietta Leavitt, a pioneering 19th-century astronomer who, alongside other female "computers" at the Harvard Observatory, made world-altering discoveries about measuring astronomical distances, despite facing societal limitations in a male-dominated scientific field.

Orfeo ed Euridice (2024)

tells the story of Orfeo, who descends to the underworld to rescue his deceased wife, Euridice, after she dies from a snake bite. He must not look back at Euridice during their return, or he will lose her forever, a condition he violates, causing her second death before Love intervenes to restore her to life.
